Hi! My name is Ms. Bacik and I am a 5th grade teacher here at Otis. I am originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and have recently moved to Chicago. I am a teacher with a passion for social justice and equity. I value building positive connections and communication with my students, families, and within the Otis community.  In my free time I like to read, travel, and explore the city. I look forward to providing for CPS families for years to come!

Hello,
I am a third grade teacher at Otis Elementary School. I have been teaching for over 20 years and have taught first grade, second grade, and third grade! I am a National Board Certified Teacher and have a Masters Degree in literacy education. I love to make learning fun in my classroom and enjoy using technology to enhance our learning.

Returning Families! Please review the Quarter 4 Arrival and Dismissal Schedules beginning April 19th. We have implemented a staggered start and end time to help enforce social distancing guidelines recommended by CDPH and CDC.

Students are learning every day from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm and must be present all day for all their classes.  Remember to report absences to the school's main office and to your child's teacher.
